Meeting Minutes: 9 September 2019
The Brattleboro Camera Club met on Monday, September 9th at the Vermont Center for Photography.
1 ] Cindy, Debbie, and Dianne had organized an evening photo walk at Turners Falls on August 23rd.
A sample of photos from club members were shown.
2] Donald Miller introduced an interesting photo project for the club. It involves each member editing a common photograph. More details on this assignment will follow in early October.
3] Members were reminded of the upcoming photo walk at the Medfield State Hospital on September 15th. Ea Maples has organized the event. Photos from the walk will be shown at the October club meeting.
4] Bill Dixon did a presentation on his recent work, "Bees, Beehives, and Beekeepers of the Northeast". Through the photos Bill took us through the seasons of the bee and the beekeeper.
5] The Theme of the Month was "Branching Out'. Here are a few examples. September Theme: Branching Out
One of us took the theme conceptually (I never shoot people) instead of literally.
6] Tom Singleton has been working on the Meet-Up page. To become a BCC "member" in Meet-Up, go to this link and click the red Join This Group rectangle.
7] Bill Dixon has a photographic exhibit at The River Gallery School, 32 Main Street, Brattleboro. The gallery contains ten black & white portraits of school crossing guards in the town of Brattleboro.
8] The next meeting of the club will be on October 14th.
